Chicheley Hall
Described in The Times as "one of the dozen finest and loveliest English country houses", Chicheley Hall, home of the Kavli Royal Society International Centre was opened as a renovated new venue by the Royal Society in June as a centre for the advancement of science. Outside of this it may be used for a variety of other non scientific events.
Positioned in Buckinghamshire within easy reach of Central London, the hall was built in the first quarter of the 18th century on the site of an ancient manor, and is one of the country’s most stunning and rare examples of Baroque style architecture. Set in 75 acres of glorious grounds and with its own lake, this historically significant property is available for residential conferences and events.
An extension of the Royal Society’s London base, the fully modernised Chicheley Hall offers a range of versatile meeting spaces, lecture halls, dining rooms and en-suite bedrooms, providing a breathtaking setting for the corporate and leisure market.
Visitors to Chicheley may recognise some of the interiors from the 1995 BBC adaptation of Pride and Prejudice starring Jennifer Ehle and Colin Firth.
